The historical part of the Holiday Inn Krakow City Center building is the Parenski Palace, now beautifully renovated and integrated with a modern glass & concrete construction which blends perfectly with Krakow’s old 19th and 20th century architecture.

The palace used to belong to Professor Stanisław Pareński (1843-1913), a Krakow doctor who participated in the historic January uprising when Poland was under Partitions. Prof. Pareński was a distinguished specialist in internal medicine and a man committed to charity work.
Art exhibitions used to be organized in the Pareński Palace and they attracted all the people important during the Młoda Polska Art Nouveau period. The guests included the very gifted painter Teodor Axentowicz who painted the famous ‘Pareński Daughters’. A patron of the art exhibitions, Tadeusz Boy-Zeleński, married one of the Professor’s daughters while another one died tragically and some people claim to have seen her wandering in the hotel rooms. Jacek Malczewski and Feliks Jasiński also visited the Palace. The famous playwright Stanisław Wyspiański read out the first fragments of his most famous play Wesele in the Palace.

Welcome to Holiday Inn Krakow City Center, a hotel that combines legendary past with modern facilities.
